All my classes are going surprisingly good. The classes here are actually interesting, Who knew? and the Professors are absolutely the BEST I have ever had (and this is coming from a whole 1 year of college experience haha). The plays for english are a bit boring and dull and the professor thinks its a great idea to watch the movie of the plays we read. At 8 AM? right professor getting college students up at 8 to watch a movie we know all the words to and turn off all the lights is a GREAT idea? haha... not... Its actually quite hilarious when I look behind me and see that half the class (and occasionally the professor) has fallen asleep.Other than that, classes are lively and exciting which may have a great deal to do with the weekly museum visits.
As for adjusting to life in London, well thats an entirely different story! So I cannot count how many times I have nearly been hit by a car (sorry mom and dad)! I guess you never realize this in America, but we are trained to look to the Left when crossing a street.... this is WRONG. The cars drive on the opposite side (whoops). Also, I am an extremely LOUD and outgoing person, appearently people here are quiet and reserved (another whoops). Also, there are little differences that I cant even remember but they are very different. Its like learning a whole new way of living. The best thing is that now I dont even notice people have an accent anymore. Its like I got used to it, which in a way is sad, but now it seems quite natural to me.
Here is the deal with equestrian. I LOVE GULLIVER! he is sweet and hasn't thrown me off once! :). which is a plus in my book. The group I go riding with consists of 6 girls and its so much fun! every week I look forward to it. I have realized that our group is BY FAR the funniest and most liveliest group. We go at 11:00 AM and we have to walk so far to the stables. First of all, I have had my horse 3 consecutive times and I have gotten quite good at trotting and I tried cantering (running?) today! Our horses and people are hysterical... My horse decides to eat trees (appearently it really likes to eat!) so when it ate a tree I was the one who got the blame! Sure lady who runs the stables I know how to stop a horse I have only been on once from eating a tree! (good job Gulliver!). Another girl had a horse that, previous to her ride, had bitten the instructor! I am glad it wasn't me and when she asked what happened to her old horse appearently it got hauled off to disability services. The girls respose to this was "well thats why I liked him so much, he was slow like me!". Another girl had a horse that was afraid of EVERYTHING. You name it bag, leaf, a statue he had never seen before. So that horse is nuts! I just pray that everythime I get Gully so I dont DIE while riding!
Future plans= Italy for fall break? only it is quite expensive so it depends if I can save up, if not I will be here at the house for a week BY MYSELF! Sad....
